1. The brothers may have books and equipment for personal use, but in moderation and as determined by the provincial chapter. However, to those who are devoted to special studies and offices out of obedience, with the permission of the prior provincial, after consulting the local superior, books or equipment may be granted.
2. When brothers are assigned to another convent, they may take with them only what has been determined by the provincial chapter and the provincial statute those things which the prior provincial, according to the legitimate customs of the province, has permitted.
